She mentions that the character's design was inspired by Olympian athletes rather than bodybuilders, aiming to create a more approachable representation while acknowledging that critiques would likely arise no matter the approach taken.

Showrunner Jessica Gao, along with director Coiro and lead actress Tatiana Maslany, have voiced their support for VFX artists. Gao emphasized the enormity of creating a CGI main character and expressed concern about the demanding workload VFX teams face.
