Paramount Pictures has presented the first trailer for "The Contractor," a new action thriller showcasing Chris Pine. Pine stars as a U.S. special forces sergeant who, after being involuntarily discharged, joins a clandestine private contracting organization. On a covert mission overseas, he gets caught in a perilous conspiracy, leading to a fight for survival. The project reunites Pine with Ben Foster, marking their first collaboration since "Hell or High Water." This film also serves as Swedish director Tarik Saleh's English language debut.

"The Contractor" promises intense action as it navigates themes of betrayal and survival. Alongside Pine and Foster, the cast includes notable names such as Kiefer Sutherland, Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Marsan, JD Pardo, and Florian Munteanu. Set for a limited theatrical release and day-and-date PVOD availability on April 1, it will subsequently stream on Showtime and Paramount+ later in 2022, broadening its reach to audiences eager for gripping narratives.
